The buying process - Steps 1 to 6

Step 1 - Create an account

If you haven’t already, you’ll need to create a BMA account online.

Step 2 - Register for the auction

Buyers need to register for each auction they want to bid in. Use the forms online to get registered.

Step 3 - Place your bids

Bids can be placed at any time before a lot closes. In timed auctions, we recommend setting a maximum bid and letting our system bid for you.

Step 4 - Join the live sale

If you’re interested in lots in a live auction, you can join our Auctioneers online and bid in real time.

Step 5 - Make the payment

Once you’ve won a lot and received your invoice, you’ll need to make payment within five working days.

Step 6 - Arrange collection

You must also collect your equipment within five working days. If you need help arranging collection, we can recommend transport and shipping companies for you.
