BMA is proud to announce that we have been awarded the contract to manage the collection and auction of surplus medical equipment for NHS Wales, commencing 1 August 2025.
This significant appointment covers NHS hospitals across Wales, as well as the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust. As part of the contract, BMA will be responsible for the end-to-end service of collecting, preparing, and auctioning redundant and surplus medical assets - maximising financial return while supporting the NHS’s broader sustainability and efficiency goals.
“We are delighted to have been selected by NHS Wales following a competitive procurement process,” said Oliver Pearson, Sales Director at BMA. “This is a testament to the strength of our experience in medical equipment resale, our commitment to sustainability, and the value we consistently deliver to NHS clients.”
BMA has long supported NHS organisations throughout the UK with expert auction services tailored to healthcare. Our specialist approach not only generates revenue from unused assets, but also extends the life cycle of medical equipment, reducing unnecessary waste and landfill.
The contract represents a continuation and enhancement of existing auction services in Wales, with BMA bringing new levels of efficiency, transparency, and return on investment.
We look forward to working closely with NHS Wales and its partner organisations to deliver outstanding results under this new contract.
