British Medical Auctions (BMA) has signed a three-year agreement with South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS), with the option to extend the partnership for a further two years.
The agreement was secured through the work of BMA Senior Account Manager, Jay Martell, who has worked closely with the Trust to understand its requirements and demonstrate how BMA can support the effective management and resale of surplus medical equipment.
As part of the process, BMA recently welcomed Kathryn Warner, Clinical Equipment/Asset Manager and Clinical Equipment Safety Officer at SCAS, to its headquarters. During the visit, Kathryn toured the facilities, met members of the team and saw first-hand the scale of BMA’s operation and the volume of medical equipment managed on behalf of healthcare organisations.
The new agreement further strengthens BMA’s position as a trusted partner to the UK ambulance sector. BMA now works with 85% of NHS Ambulance Trusts across the UK, helping them release value from surplus equipment while supporting safe, compliant and sustainable reuse.
Through specialist collection, detailed cataloguing and access to a global network of medical equipment buyers, BMA helps NHS organisations give surplus assets a second life and return valuable funds to healthcare budgets.
